Rocky Top Chapter TN-1
received the following awards
1st Place for fostering the spirit of comradeship of women who have served or are serving in
the Marine Corps and sponsoring or participating in patriotic activities.
1st Place for providing care and assistance to hospitalized and needy veterans and members of
the Armed Forces, which included care packages for active duty military; donations to the members of the 489th Civil Affairs
Battalion, our continuous support of Steps House, used stamps for the Phoenix, AZ V. A. Hospital and Operation Uplink.
First Place for work with charitable organization such as, The Salvation Army, Mission of Hope,
Toys for Tots, Susan Komen Race for the Cure, Campbell Soup labels and Volunteer Work Day clean up at the Great Smoky Mountain
Institute at Tremont.
Winner of the presitgeous Ruth and Dick Broe Award for Overall Outstanding Chapter Achievement.
