15 July the chapter held it's meeting at the West Knoxville Library.  Our newest member, Rita Eckels, who had recently moved here from Florida was in attendance.  To our dismay, the Eckels have moved back to Florida because of the severe allergies that Rita experienced in the area.  We are sorry to see her leave.

1 - 5 September several members attended the 24th Biennial WMA Convention and Professional Development Conference.  Attending were Betty Rye, Eileen Neiler, Lindsay Long, Doris Keane and Barbara Chagnon.  TN-1 was in charge of registration along with some help from our friends in California, LaVerne Marts, Betty Lieser and Maggie Hart.  We certainly do appreciate all their help in stuffing feed bags and working the registration desk.  Betty and Lindsay worked the chapter table in the Tack Room selling our items; luggage tags, USMC and WMA Coasters and Marine Rose Pins.  Eileen and Lindsay also helped at the registration desk.

The Chapter did very well in the awards department, taking 1st place in Class 1, Category C;  1st place in Class 1, Category B and 1st Place in Class 1, Category A.
